With husband, Bob, in 2010, at a farewell party for English
Department colleague and friend Steve Anderson.

With co-presenter and friend Betty Donohue at the Transatlantic
Exchanges Conference, Plymouth, UK, in 2010. We gave a joint
paper on Mary Rowlandson's seventeenth-century Indian captivity
narrative, and Betty, who is Cherokee, commissioned a special
Native-made leather map of Mary Rowlandson's travels as a
captive in New England.  Here we are proudly displaying it.
